NKCL BioGroup, a biotechnology company specializing in NK (Natural Killer) cell therapeutics and Automated Culture Systems (ACS), announced on the 3rd that it has signed an exclusive business cooperation agreement with its Mongolian local partner TYBO to introduce cell therapy business into Mongolia.

TYBO, the partner in this agreement, is a medical enterprise led primarily by local specialist physicians, which has spearheaded medical business within Mongolia as well as Korea-Mongolia medical tourism. Through this agreement, TYBO will attract and execute an investment of over KRW 3 billion in total initial project costs to build cell therapy infrastructure within Mongolian territory, and will lead the establishment of a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) system on the ground in Mongolia.

The core of this entry into Mongolia is the local introduction of the NK-cell automated culture device (ACS-II), which embodies NKCL's concentrated technological capabilities. Going beyond the simple supply of equipment, a central control system and a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) linked with artificial intelligence (AI) and real-time edge computing technology will be established together. Through this, NKCL plans to complete a smart manufacturing process capable of mass-producing high-purity, high-quality cell therapeutics under sterile conditions in Mongolia at the same level as its Korean headquarters.

Recently, Mongolia has been rapidly emerging as a new bio-market as demand from high-income groups for anti-aging and regenerative medicine surges alongside the advancement of medical infrastructure. Starting with the establishment of a specialized hospital, NKCL BioGroup and TYBO will simultaneously develop diversified businesses, including a skin anti-aging solution franchise utilizing NK-cell culture medium raw materials, and the distribution of NKCL cosmetics. In particular, by combining TYBO's local medical tourism network with NKCL's medical tourism program (AMEX-V), they aim to nurture Mongolia into a hub base that absorbs both inbound and outbound medical demand across Central Asia.

Tuvshinbayar Tserenlkham, CEO of TYBO, expressed his aspiration: “The Mongolian local medical network and the Korea-Mongolia medical tourism know-how we have built over a long period will create synergy when meeting NKCL's AI cell culture technology.” He added, “Through this preemptive investment of over KRW 3 billion, we will provide the Mongolian people with the highest level of advanced cell therapy, and further innovate the paradigm of Mongolia's medical industry.”

Shin Dong-hwa, CEO of NKCL BioGroup, emphasized: “It is meaningful to settle our cell culture platform on the global stage together with a reliable partner such as TYBO, a group of medical experts.” He continued, “Based on the successful securing of a foothold in the Mongolian market, we will lead the global standard of the next-generation regenerative medicine industry.”
